Your articles are stupid, why are you so retarded?
The contents on this site have been around a long time. I have been known to be stupid and retarded sometimes and am growing every day. My character, personality, mood, and behavior may change over the course of years or even days. Even though I may regret some content posted in the past, I will leave them around for posterity in order to remember the changes and experiences I've been through.
Where do you call home?
I grew up in Japan and Hawaii, but now I reside in San Francisco Bay Area. I was recently living in Boston MA, but I am permanently back in California now.
Are You Hapa Haole?
Yup. Dad is Japanese, Mom is as American as it gets... according to my relatives my ancestors moved to N. America before the Independance. According to the geneology it appears that I got little of Irish, Scottish, English and German... weird stuff.
How old are you?
DOB Epoch 247478400 Secs. If you're resourcefull, you can figure that out.
What do you do for a living?
I develop software for automating complex tasks in UNIX and other network operating systems... with the goal of being visible yet invisible. So far so good.
Why did you make this lame site?
I was burned out for the longest time working on projects for clients, employers, and other non-personal projects. I wanted to create a site where I can share my photos, stories, and humor to friends or anyone else that might be interested. Though, I'm guessing there's only one regular of the site.... so it'll primarily be used as a logging mechanism for activities and ideas I have from time to time. I'm involved in so many activities these days that I can't even remember what I did 2 months prior. Anyway, if you just happened to stumble on this far corner of the internet, hopefully you found whatever it is was you were looking for. :)
You're an egotistical asshole.
I've been told so before... I've got an ego, all driven people need to have some sort of ego to perform at a high level. Sometimes confidence is mistaken for egotistical or cockiness. I know I've at times been an asshole to people that I don't respect. I try to follow the belief that everyone deserves respect until they lose it in a spectacular fashion. Regaining respect is a huge uphill process.

Then again, anyone who makes a personal website 99% full of useless nonesense is probably one by default. And hey... nobody's perfect.

What kind of computer equipment do you use?
The servers are all FreeBSD, while currently my workstations are Ubuntu Linux. I also use VMWare within the workstation for other random needs. My company gave me a Macbook Pro (Core 2 2.4Ghz) last year and I hated it. The lack of mouse button(s) and the limiting GUI pissed me off to no end, so I returned it after 2 months of frustration. Instead I use a IBM (Lenovo) Thinkbook T60 laptop running the same setup as my home workstation (Ubuntu[VMWARE{XP/BSD}])

English is sort of my second language and always struggled through English classes in high school... I'm working on it. Also, a lot of this content is added ad-hoc and in a commentary form, sometimes I don't bother editting or proof reading it before it gets published.
How did you make this site?
I customized an open source content management system called Mambo. Its hosted out of my house using my personal equipment.
What car should I buy?
Well, it depends if you're interested in learning how to control a car properly and drive fast.. Or you just want to pimp your car around the nightclubs to pick up chicks. I'm more interested in the former since I havn't figured out a way to drive a car into the club yet. Plus, only dumb shallow chicks are impressed with shiny expensive stuff (not that thats bad if you're just trying to get laid). I would buy a lightweight low HP car and take it to the racetrack for some DE events or do some Auto-X. After you build up confidence in that car (maybe a Miata, MR2, Neon, Civic), you'll know more what you want out of a car and you will be able to decide on your own. If you buy a car that is too expensive from the start, it will be hard to improve your skills due to the fear of crashing it. If you're rich, that may not apply to you.

How did you buy an NSX, how much was it?
I bought the NSX in 2000 by putting $10,000 down and got a $35k loan. One of the stupidest things I've done, but I havn't regretted it once. It was the middle of the dotcom boom when money was flying everywhere... I didn't worry much about losing my jobs. Turned out I got lucky. I never made any funny money during the boom and my salary was average, so I had to finance it by sticking to strict diet of Cup-O-Noodles. The car is paid off now so I don't have to worry about crashing it. These days the car isn't as expensive as people might think. I think its one of the most entertaining cars to own for the money, assuming you buy an older model used.
Do you street race?
No. Street racing is dumb and puts everyone in unnecessary risk, especially since it generally proves nothing. Read Pyramid of Speed by Doug Hayashi
Are you a real race car driver?
Yep, I guess you can say that. I have a competition race license through NASA Pro Racing. As of this writing I am competing in Honda Challenge H1 class which is a club series. I have a few sponsers, but nothing substantial enough to even cover the car preparation costs. For now, I just do it for fun.
What other hobbies do you have?
These days I really enjoy traveling and learning about other cultures and people. My goal is to get out of the country at least once a year. I play indoor soccer all year round, go snowboarding in the wintertime, reading non-fiction and practicing the celtic mandolin. I recently picked up a MIDI controller for techno music sequencing, so I'm gonna start giving that a try. I sometimes like watching movies to relax, but I find reality to be far more interesting than made up stories written by some other bloke. Of course I also like relaxing at the pub with friends and women. :)
Whats your 1/4 mile and 0-60?
I have no idea, never tried, I don't really care either. I'll tell you that I ran a 2:08:xx at Thunderhill Raceway in my NSX on street tires. I recently ran a 2:05:xx in the Civic race car as well (using turn 5 bypass).
What kind of music do you like?
I rarely answer this question because I believe that music is a type of drug and can be utilized to control your moods. I believe that your upbringing, outlook on life, and overall level of curiousity would make a difference in each individuals tastes in music, but there is definitely some constants regarding which types of sounds can evoke which emotion. Here's a hodgepodge of bands/groups that you might find in my car: TOOL, Air, In Flames, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, Juno Reactor, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Zero 7, Opeth, Morcheeba, Misc Trance & House (DJ Tiesto etc), Iced Earth, Dark Tranquillity, Nightwish. It seems as the music styles go from one extreme to the other. Really heavy or really mellow and only electronic trance type music in between.
